Kelly Chen gives Louis Koo's figure a full grade

The Kelly Chen Wai Lam and Louis Koo Tin Lok starred Lunar New Year film ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012 (BAK SING PO HEI) will be released in the Lunar New Year. They along with boss Raymond Wong Pak Ming were interviewed earlier. Chen Wai Lam was already pregnant while working on ALL'S, was Kelly's husband worried? She said that her husband asked her about it. He knew that the shoot was only two weeks long and it was a comedy without any fight scene, so he did not object.

Kelly said that in one scene she had to poke Goo Jai's muscle with a pen and praised how fit Goo Jai was. Normally he would train with weights when he was not in a scene. He was very hard working. How would she grade Goo Jai's figure? Kelly said 100 points and admitted that she liked men with muscles. Did her husband have muscles? She joked, "When we started dating he did, now he is a blob." Has she asked her husband to exercise? Kelly said, "No, my own figure isn't very pretty. However my husband watches himself, he wouldn't be too fat or have a belly."

Koo Tin Lok said that this year was his fourth year of making a Lunar New Year film. In the film Goo Jai had a topless scene to show off his masculinity. In the film he was completely naked, but on the set he wore shorts. Was Goo Jai embarrassed? He said, "I wasn't, but I wasn't used to it on the first day." At the time Goo Jai did not have time to work out first, but he has always had abdominal muscles. He just did not have enough time to pump them up. While working in ALL'S, Goo Jai knew that Kelly was already pregnant. Was he worried? He said, "A little, we had to go to a construction site and a forest for location shoots. I was worried that she would fall, instead I saw how relaxed and professional she was."

Wong Pak Ming this year again faces Eric Tsang Chi Wai during the Lunar New Year. He hoped that everyone would be happy and said that he was confident this year he would beat Chi Wai.

Jay Chou witnesses Nicholas Tse's stunt

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung yesterday attended THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) premiere press conference in Beijing. When asked about rumors of a reunion with Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, he reiterated that he did. He and Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun) talked about the scene in which Ting Fung jumped into the sea. Ting Fung said that when Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin told him to jump, he jumped without even thinking about it; looking at the playback, he only saw his shadow and immediately asked the director if he was sure it was him? Chow Kit Lun cut in and said, "Relax, I caught your jump on my phone. If someone doesn't believe you personally performed the stunt, I can be your witness."

Ting Fung was asked four questions, "what did he think about good reviews for the film", "what did he thik about the director giving the gun that he performed with", "what belief kept him going on THE VIRAL FACTOR shoot", and "his building jump performance". Ting Fung responded to all of them with a thumbs up.

Chow Kit Lun's building jump scene took place at a hospital. He joked that he was a little scared, but with fans there he had to jump. He said that if only his shadow as in the film he definitely would be very angry. He hoped that fans would upload their phone videos online as evidence. Chairman Chou also jokingly complained that working with the director was very tough because the director was merciless. "I very much look forward to tonight's premiere because I can see the result of my hard work. Everything is worth it."

Donnie Yen helps the government disinfect new building

Donnie Yen Chi Tan yesterday worked on the upcoming film production 3D THE ICEMAN COMETH (3D GUP DUNG KEI HUP) poster. Producer and investor Stephen Shiu Jr. revealed that the film production cost reached US$20 million because of its many large scale scenes. The production already received an approval for a four hour shoot on the Ching Ma Bridge, and even planned to shoot location at the Government House and the new Government Headquarter for the ending. As for the new Government Headquarter virus, Chi Tan said fearlessly, "We can help them disinfect."

Chi Tan said that the rumor of him making 200 million was exaggerated. "I didn't count, I left it all for my wife to handle." He reiterated that he did not feel he made a lot because actors all looked glorious on the surface. In addition the performing art life would not be long, the more he worked the more he got. Was his next target the Best Actor award? He said, "I haven't deliberately thought about becoming the Best Actor, but I hope to try different characters." For example in the comedy ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012 (BAK SING PO HEI), he claimed that he performed without holding back and hoped the audience would like it. Speaking of the Tony Leung Chiu Wai starred THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) still has no release date yet, would he make another IP MAN? He said, "I wouldn't make another one after someone else's is released. Actually I am still brewing, when the time arrives I would make it again."

Sammi Cheng and Louis Koo try to hold back laughter in thin air

ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) earlier held a small media screening. Most female viewers were moved to tears and some viewers had to remain in their seats after the show ended to settle down. Sammi Cheng Sau Man and Louis Koo Tin Lok were very pleased to learn about the great audience response. They liked this film very much as well.

Sammi pointed out that Goo Jai has always had quite a sense of comedy. This time he had several scenes in which Sammi had a very hard time with holding back her laughter. In one scene Goo Jai just arrived in Shangri-La. He could not adjust to the climate and had to get an intravenous drip due to a lack of oxygen. With his IV drip in his right hand and wine in his left, he looked very funny already. Even the crew thought Goo Jai looked very funny, but everyone cherished their oxygen and thus held back their laughter. Otherwise they could easily be short of breath. Goo Jai of course replaced the wine with tea. He said, "I was already short of breath and they still wanted me to chug. If the bottle was real I was dead for sure, of course I replaced it with tea! I didn't want to truly become like Michael in the movie and had to breathe with an oxygen tank!" On and off camera everyone's movement and speech were slower. Goo Jai joked that when To Sir (Johnnie To Kei Fung) reached the mountain, he did not even yell at anyone and the world had peace.

As for Goo Jai and Sammi's romantic scene, they said that it felt very comfortable. Yet a motorcycle scene reminded everyone of Sammi and Wa Jai (Andy Lau Tak Wa). Sammi said that the motorcycle ride felt very different with Wa Jai than with Goo Jai. She said, "Back then I saw behind Wa Jai, of course it felt great! However this time on the motorcycle with Goo Jai felt more fun, maybe because it was in Shangri-La. The scenery was beautiful and the air was fresher! So this time was very memorable." Goo Jai was very excited to ride the motorcycle and felt very satisfied. He felt how high Sammi was behind him.

Ann Hui receives Asian Lifetime Achievement Award

A SIMPLE LIFE (TOH JEH) director Ann Hui On Wa would receive the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society's 6th Asian Film Award Lifetime Achievement award. She would be the first female filmmaker to receive the honor. In the 70s and the 80s, Hui On Wa created many Hong Kong films of their time and received numerous awards. Today she still keeps on creating, outside mainstream films she makes work that makes viewers think.

Film Festival Society chair Wong Ying Wai said, "Director Hui On Wa's influence on Hong Kong film is far reaching. At the late 70s she was a strong force in the Hong Kong New Wave. She innovated with existing film genres and created all new conventional film categories to express the gradually forming Hong Kong people identities. Yet she has never been complacent and continued to create. From 1979 she almost had a new film every year and every film's quality has been very outstanding. No matter the genre, Hui On Wa has been handy with it -- thriller, drama, comedy, horror, historical wuxia, romance, Hui On Wa has done them all and injected even richer elements. She represented a level that Hong Kong filmmakers dream of. In addition, she actively promoted Hong Kong film culture and film development. From 1993 to 2004 she served as the Hong Kong Film Director Guild executive committee member, from 2004 to 2006 she served as the chair. Early in the founding of the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, she served as vice chair and contributed greatly to promoting the society's development and activities. We hereby thank her very much."

Fala Chen responds on Weibo denying the 'mansion' rumors

It had long been rumored that Fala Chen and her Neway boyfriend (Sit Sai Hang) were married, but she never confirmed herself. Recently it was rumored again that the couple were married in 2008 and Fala even got a 40,000feet mansion located in the US from her 'husband' as wedding gift. Yesterday Fala clarified the rumor on Weibo, but since she grew up in the US, Fala was extremely careless and wrote 'bought' as 'sold'.

Fala wrote: "Over the several years that I have been working, I still do not own any properties in HK, just during the period of the U.S financial turmoil, I 'sold' (she means 'brought') a foreclosure home as a form of investment. The price of the home is just equivalent to Hong Kong's several 10 square meters (several hundred square feet) apartments, which I can still afford. Somehow I am related to whatever gossip there is." According to sources, the US property under Fala's name is located in Atlanta, Georgia and during the financial turmoil, the price was about $760,000 USD (~HK$5.9 million).

Based on her Weibo response, she only clarified that her US property is not a wedding gift from Mr. Sit, but she did not respond to the 2008 secret marriage rumor.

A few days ago when Fala responded to Marie Zhuge's miscarriage rumor, but Marie later criticized that she took a heartbreaking incident as a joke, therefore Fala did not mention about the miscarriage anymore.

Raymond Lam's award for CHOK controversy continues

Yesterday TVB Executive Chairman, Dr. Norman Leung led TVB Resource Director Virgina Lok, Siu Sang Raymond Lam and the 28 Miss Chinese International Pageant (MCI) contestants for the opening ceremony of the newly constructed SKY ZONE. Depending on CHOK, Raymond Lam won the 'Gold Song Gold Award' earlier at the JSG Best Ten Music Awards, which has been controversial. Eason Chan even joked about it, yesterday Raymond expressed during an interview: "Actually in private, I am pretty good friends with him (Eason). Basically it is nothing, don't make it a big deal."

This year Raymond will be a guest performer at the MCI and will be doing hot dances with the contestants. Asked if Raymond has a contestant that he supports? He said: "Today is the first day I've seen them, haven't looked clearly. However, many of them are tall. The dance instructor asked me if it was necessarily for me to wear heels, so I can look taller."

Responses to the CHOK controversy

Virgina Lok was asked about her favorite 'son' Raymond Lam's award controversy, she said: "Perhaps this is related to his management contract with TVB, but according to the votes, he is among the best ranked. If we fear of gossips and don't give him the award, then that is unfair to Raymond. We have to safeguard JSG's system."

Regarding Raymond's CHOK, good friend Kate Tsui attended another event yesterday and expressed the song is good. She said: "I was there while he was shooting the MV, the song is pretty good."

'Fuk Luk Sau' member Johnson Lee was asked about 'Sober Band' Moses Chan, Bowie Lam and Kenny Wong's When Heaven Burns' sub theme Youth Ignorance charging up on the JSG charts, becoming their opponent, Johnson blurted out: "If we are forced to win an award, then I rather not get it." Johnson's comment seems as if he's indirectly criticizing Raymond Lam. He later fixed what he said: "If we beat Sober Band, then that wouldn't be too good! They are our seniors."

Jacky Cheung: Award must be deserved

As for Raymond's idol, Jacky Cheung, when asked about CHOK, he admitted he's out: "This year, I haven't listened to that many songs, so I don't know this song. I already said many times, the most important thing in the music scene is the music. The awards are not just presented to the people of Hong Kong, but also to other people in other areas, they can watch too. Therefore for each award ceremony, people must feel convinced, otherwise that award ceremony will less likely be accepted. I also want to correct the thoughts of some singers, thinking it's good to get awards, but the award must be deserved, otherwise it is meaningless. If each person finishes listening to the winning song, and have doubts that something is wrong with their ears, but don't go make changes, the feeling is strange. I am still in the music scene, so I hope one day the sorrows will turn into joy and we all can think back over it."

TVB's big plans revealed

Also, at the event Norman Leung revealed TVB's big plans. He expressed TVB will be purchasing 15,000 square meters of land in Tseung Kwan O in preparation for the construction of a new building in 2015. The building will be able to hold several thousand people and large-scale Variety Shows can be performed in there. The investment reaches HK$1 billion.

TVB actor Eric Li's transition from evil to good gets applauded

All along, TVB artist Eric Li played villains, except for his latest drama Bottled Passion in which he finally got the chance to play a 'good' role. In the series, Eric played 'Law Yat' and had many scenes opposite of Raymond Wong. Eric's acting was recognized and has been praised. Regarding his roles going from evil to good, Eric expressed he is grateful of producer Lee Tim Shing for giving him the opportunity. He said: "This is my second time working with Tim Gor. He's very brave, making me go from evil to good. The public had pretty good response. Since the series started airing, my fans on Weibo doubled every day. I'm truly happy." Recently Eric is working on two new series including Dangerous Protection (Bosco Wong, Linda Chung) and The Great Eunuch (Wayne Lai, Michelle Yim), he is seriously on a busy schedule. Unknowingly, Eric has already been in the industry for 16 years. When asked if he had ever thought about taking a TV award? He modestly said: "I won't think about it. My mentality is the more I think, the more disappointed I will be."

Also, Eric had collaborated with several FaDans in the past, like Linda Chung and Nancy Wu and had some intimate scenes with them too. However, he had never had rumors or negative report, Eric laughed: "I have great chemistry with them and communicate well prior to shooting. (Did you spark with Nancy Wu?) If we wanted to spark, then it would have happened long ago."

Andy On reveals Nicholas Tse skips bathing for video games

Andy On Chi Kit in the film THE VIRAL FACTOR (YIK JIN) played a villain. In the film he had many action scenes. In one scene he had to hsoot in a narrow alley and injured both his arms. Did he whine to Jennifer Tse Ting Ting? He said that he did not, but after finding out his girlfriend immediately flew to visit him and of course her brother Nicholas Tse Ting Fung. On Chi Kit did not know how to read Chinese, so reading Chinese script was truly very hard. His interpreter used Cantonese to translate directly so he did not understand it many time. Everyday he would study the script with his assistant at the hotel.

While shooting in Malaysia, Ting Fung was handing his divorce. He said that at the time Ting Fung did not say much, maybe he did not want to think about it. Everyday after arriving at the set, he spent every moment on thinking how to make the film. After work he would return to the hotel. Yet he revealed that after shooting in the heat, Ting Fung after work could play video games without showering. He reminded Ting Fung to shower, but he would just appease him without a few words and ignore him. Speaking of the other lead Jay Chou (Chow Kit Lun), On Chi Kit said that he admired Jay very much. He was not an action actor but a superstar singer. Although he always had many people to protect him, he did not look like he was going to handle the director's action demand as seriously as he did. He truly admired him very much.

Work is a very important part of life, so I would put a lot of effort into this area." When asked since this film was an Eastern spy film would it be compared to 007 or MISSION IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL, Wa Jai said, "This film is such a large production, the directors' efforts including our other director' bringing many many new things from the U.S. I don't know whether it can compare to foreigners', but we would make a very, very special spy film with our own specialty." The Lunar New Year film ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2012 (BAK SING PO HEI) two nights ago promoted in Causeway Bay. Chapman To Man Jat, Lynn Xiong (Hung Doi Lam), Raymond Wong Pak Ming and Karena Ng Chin Yu attended and gave away hugs on the streets. Two nights ago at the embrace session, an "extra" male viewer came to the stage. He went crazy because he could not hug Lynn on the stage and even argued with "extras" in the audience. Later this "extra" male viewer smashed a bottle over Wen Chao's head. Wen Chao "pretended" to collapse. Hung Doi Lam was scared out of her wits and immediately ran off the stage. The male viewer still screamed, "Lynn! I want to hug you! I am your real husband!" Then two "extra" police officers came to stop everything. With the bloodshed, the media panicked. At that time the male viewer suddenly hug Ah Jat with a smile and kissed him, then everyone realized that it was just a prank.

Hung Doi Lam later said that she truly was scared and wanted to rush home. Ah Jat as the "accomplice" admitted that he did not want to. He joked that he planned to buy her an Aaron Kwok Fu Sing concert DVD as compensation. Lynn said that she would not tell Sing Sing, who would find out from the papers. She joked, "If they want to play a prank on me, I may strike back. So they are very afraid. Maybe because Ah Jat doesn't know about my tendency toward violence, this time I fell for it."

Myolie Wu crashes the MCI 2012 press conference in a Deep V dress

Yesterday the 28 contestants for Miss Chinese International Pageant 2012 met the press and judges. As one of the judges, Myolie Wu appeared in a low-cut deep V dress and 'crashed' scene, not allowing the contestants to steal all the attention. TVB made arrangements for 'godson' Hacken Lee to be the guest performer once again, along with 'The Voice' singers Mag Lam and Alfred Hui.

Myolie appeared in a black Deep V evening dress, asked if she wanted to challenge the 28 contestants herself? Myolie explained she just wanted to get a taste of dressing neutrally and coincidentally she found this dress. In a normal occasion like this, she won't sell her sexiness, just under her dress is pants, while the upper half is elegant and therefore can have this effect. She did not deliberately try to be sexually appealing.

As the judge, Myolie does not want to reveal which of one of the contestant she supports. As for contestant #19 from Vancouver, Erica Chui is Norman Chui and Shirley Yim's daughter (Michelle Yim's niece), Myolie felt the team of judges will handle it fairly and the results won't be affected because the contestant has an artist background.

Susan Su (#18) appeared in a blue low-cut dress, but she doesn't feel she's particularly sexy. Wendy Yu (#13) sat still as reporters requested and allowed pictures to be taken, however, she was suspected to have exposed herself based on her sitting posture. She laughed and said if she did expose herself, then she will say sorry to everyone. As for Hong Kong representative Rebecca Zhu (#26) revealed she was on a busy schedule in the last few days, she expressed she is the worst dancer among the contestants and she personally supports Maggie Yu (#25) of Dalian because of her smooth and clear skin.

Marie Zhuge sobs admitting her miscarriage, displeased by Fala Chen taking it as a joke

Marie Zhuge will be tying the knot with Neway's second young master (Sit Ka Leun) in March this year. Before the marriage could even occur, it was exposed that Marie is pregnant. Over the Christmas and New Year holiday, she had a peaceful vacation with her boyfriend and unexpectedly she was welcomed back with rumors of her miscarriage. During the period, Marie had not revealed herself in public. However, her 'Future Sister-in-Law' Fala Chen (because Fala is currently dating the older brother of Marie's boyfriend, Sit Sai Hang), who had been rumored to be on bad terms with her all along, was asked of the miscarriage rumors earlier and she actually spoke up expressing that nothing is happening to Marie.

Yesterday Marie appeared in public for the first time since the rumors circulated. She attended a 'pray for a child' themed Lunar New Year event at the Tseung Kwan O Center. It is unknown if the 'pray for a child' theme affected Marie's emotions as she appeared very much in grief. She often forced a smile and on stage, she couldn't hold in her tears and had to turn around to wipe away the tears. Before the interview, Marie had to rush into the restroom to wash up and calm down before continuing with the interview. When asked why she's feeling so upset? Is it because she really did miscarriage? She heard the question and immediately tears stream down her face. Soon after, she nodded: "It's true! However, I am not going to talk about unhappy events. (Why aren't you taking a break?) Because the jobs were accepted before the fact. I have to complete my jobs first before I can take a break and reduce my workload to recuperate my health."

Recover and try again for another baby

Reporters pursued the question of how big her fetus was? Marie started sobbing again: "I really don't want to talk about the past! (How is your boyfriend feeling?) I received a lot of comforting SMS and phone calls from friends, really want to thank them. I hope I can face this issue with courage." When speaking of a few days ago (Jan 7th) when Fala Chen attended an event, she said she asked the Sit Family about her marriage and learned that nothing was wrong with her (Marie). Marie heard this and became extremely emotional, she in tears: "I don't want to comment on other people's actions! I just feel you cannot take some things to joke around with. We all can't let a smile out!" She said her family and future in-laws expressed sympathy for her. Does she believe that it was because she overlooked the stability of her fetus and went out for a vacation? She said: "After all, I will recover and try again! The doctor told me to rest more, and don't get too emotional."

Lastly, reporters asked about the rumor that Fala was already secretly married in 2008 and received a 40,000 feet mansion in the US? Once Marie heard Fala's name, she was fed up and said: "I don't want to talk about her business!"
______________________

The day before, Fala was a guest model at the jewelry brand THOMAS SABO event. Once again, she was asked about Marie's miscarriage, she expressed: "I already responded a few days ago, I am not commenting anymore. (Why did you respond the other day?) Such a big issue, of course will ask." When reporters mentioned the reports that she's actually feeling relieved by the miscarriage, she immediately asked reporters back, why she would feel relieved? Then she laughed foolishly: "Haha! I really don't know how to answer. I already said what I had to the other day. I answered the question very seriously. To avoid the magazines complicating matters, I will not respond anymore."

ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO HOI BUT JI LUEN II) will be released on Valentine's Day. Aside from Louis Koo Tin Lok and Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Gao Yuanyuan also guest starred as Koo Tin Lok's girlfriend.

Yuanyuan and Goo Jai worked together last year on DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART (DAN SUN NAM NUI). That time Yuanyuan chose Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), this time in ROMANCING IN THIN AIR Yuanyaun played a runaway bride!

During the shoot when Goo Jai proposed to Yunanyuan, Yuanyuan joked, "Last time he proposed to me in DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART and I didn't agree. This time I agreed, but my fate with me was doomed. On the wedding day, my miner first love (Wang Baoqiang) successfully stole me away and embarrassed Goo Jai in front of everyone."

Goo Jai joked that after Yuanyuan dumped him twice in a row, from now on whenever he saw her he would think of the words "eating lemon" (rejected). He truly thanked To Sir (Johnnie To Kei Fung) for the double impact. However, if not so his story with Sammi would not have started.

On the day of the wedding shoot, Goo Jai was reminded of THE BUND and laughed. Goo Jai said that the wedding interruption was too classic. Overseas it happened in THE GRADUATE and in Hong Kong in THE BUND. He never imagined that one day he would work on one and be the victim at that. Yuanyuan during the shoot had to wear a low cut wedding gown, but Wang Baoqiang dragged her away in the crowd. She was afraid that her gown would be stepped on. How would Goo Jai react if it happened to him? He admitted that he had no idea. If the bride wanted to go with someone else, he could not get her back even if he wanted to.

Eason Chan Taunts Leo Ku, Joey Yung, and Raymond Lam Over Undeserved JSG Music Wins

The new generation of “Music God,” Eason Chan (陳奕迅), taunted EEG artists, Leo Ku (古巨基), Joey Yung (容祖兒), and Raymond Lam’s (林峯) recent Jade Solid Gold music awards. Appearing at RTHK’s “Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards” ceremony, Eason Chan mocked Leo Ku for not possessing the ability to compete with him, sparking Leo and Eason’s fans in an angry flame war in online discussion forums!

Once frozen by EEG and eventually leaving on an unpleasant note, Eason blasted his “godly” powers towards Joey Yung, Leo Ku and “Chok King” Raymond Lam. In an interview, Eason pondered whether Leo Ku possessed the ability to pose as a strong competitor. Eason’s interview clip quickly became viral and was forwarded widely among netizens.

Taunting Leo Ku

In the interview clip, Eason at first appeared to be in lively spirits. The reporter asked Eason about Leo Ku no longer accepting music awards. Eason replied in heavily accented Mandarin, “No, that’s not true. He said they were only rumors. What a nuisance that I have answer questions for him! Between him and I…I will only curiously ask him…and then…that’s it!” (Are you afraid that you will have one less strong competitor?) Eason asked the reporter back, “A very strong competitor?” (What do you think?) Eason once again countered, “What do you think? Do you think that he is my strong competitor? Do you think that Leo Ku is my strong competitor?” Upon seeing no response from the reporter, Eason said, "Okay, see!"

Eason Said Joey Yung Was Still Far From His Standing

Eason also taunted Joey Yung. At the RTHK celebration dinner on Saturday night, Eason was asked whether he will compare the number of awards he won versus Joey won this year. Eason replied, “It’s not that I wish to compare with her; she wants to compare with me! I am now a Chinese Dora singer now and awards are no longer important. We are talking about the international status of being a singer. The distance from Mr. Lau (Andy Lau 劉德華) and Mr. Cheung (Jacky Cheung 張學友) is now closer!

At the Jade Solid Gold Music Awards celebration party, Joey countered Eason’s remarks by calling him the “King of Trashy Movies” (爛片王).

Making Fun of Raymond Lam

After jabbing at Joey and the conclusion of the 2011 JSG Music Awards, Eason posted a photo of himself on his blog. In the photo, Eason held a former JSG trophy and wore a chok expression, “Chok-ing for several minutes, I cannot wait for a feature article!” Eason taunted Raymond Lam for winning JSG’s “Most Popular Male Singer in Asia-Pacific Award,” for three consecutive years and pulling an upset victory for the “Top Golden Melody Award” for his song, Chok.

EEG’s Response

EEG executive, Mani Fok, noted that she was colleagues with Eason Chan for several years while he was at the company, thus understood his playful personality. Mani said, “It’s fine to play around. However from a manger’s perspective, I felt a little bit uncomfortable after watching the interview clip. I am not angry, just a little bit uneasy.”

Eason Chan: “It Was a Misunderstanding!”

Eason was currently in the hospital undergoing knee surgery. Through his manager, Eason replied, “Those questions were posed by the reporter, thus I asked the same questions back. No one answered my questions, thus the situation turned out that way. I was definitely not taunting Leo Ku. I do not have anything against him. Everyone always used Leo and I to generate rumors. I am bored of these rumors! The music industry is not like this; I never felt the need to stir any trouble!” Eason emphasized, “I do not have any enemies!”

Eason’s manager, Chan Ka Ying said, “He was only playing! He is a playful star! He is friends with Leo Ku; they are in the same line where they are willing to dedicate themselves to the music industry!” Regarding EEG’s Mani Fok feeling uneasy after watching Eason’s interview clip, Eason’s manager said, “Aiya! I will have to call Mani!”

Jessica Hsuan issues statement criticizing the Mainland crew 'Seven Deadly Sins'

Yesterday Jessica Hsuan staged an 'Ah Jeh On Fire', which all happened when she was shooting Mainland drama Xiangzi's Story - New City People with Wang Zhao Xiang and Lawrence Ng. It was said Jessica isn't accommodating the promotions and has an attitude. It was reported yesterday by [Oriental Daily] that Jessica was absent from the end-of-filming celebration and was therefore criticized by Wang. Aside from describing Jessica as a "Big Star", Wang also criticized she's too firm, strong and bossy that no one can disagree with her and 'recommended' that she marry a man from Shanghai since they have "no temper".

Jessica had been known as a straightforward person, yesterday she issued a statement in response to the rumor and criticisms.

=========================================

QUOTE (Jessica Hsuan)

Among all the series I have filmed, I had the most problems with this one. I don't want to be taken advantage of others for publicity nor am I scolding anyone. I'm just not willing to be accused, so I could only respond this one time:

(1) As far as I know, someone enticed my fans to attend the first press conference. When my fans got to the scene, they insisted to my fans that they should hold up pre-made signboards with his name and pretend to be his fans.

(2) During the filming period, he asked me to attend some unknown dinner parties, but I did not agree to go. (I'm not sure if this involves immoral actions).

(3) Without my consent, they used my name to rent the filming location and promised the other party that I would take pictures in exchange. (Because of the above two situations, I have was called 'not accommodating to promotions, unwilling to take photos.')

(4) I didn't receive my final payment for the shoot and so stopped working. Still, they said I was wrong and that I have to compensate them.

(5) When the other actors asked when the final shooting date is, they answered quickly, but when I asked several times, I was ignored.

(6) Not even two days before the end-of-filming press conference (celebration event), they quietly placed the press conference notice in my room (they did not directly notify me), but it is clearly written on the contract that during the contract period, if I were to attend a press conference, I must have a written consent. However, once again they were being dishonest, making me feel very uneasy, I can no longer tolerate it!

In the eyes of some self-centered people, how am I a Big Star? I'm just a green leaf. Some people have such big attitudes, that I cannot react to. Each day, they don't bring the script with them to the set, and would forget their lines! For the shooting of every scene, they have to be called several times before they slowly walk out of the lobby! However, each time when there are reporters around, the situation won't be the same!

During the past two months or so, there had been so many issues. The staff on the set totally understand and justice is in the people' hearts. Saying I'm 'strong', then why not just say I'm a pitiful girl that is getting bullied. I am alone out working away from my home, and have been deceived several times. Other people who want to achieve their goals, make up countless amount of lies and the most hateful thing to do is that they even disturb my family. I was disrespected before, my dignity was trampled, I'm already exhausted both mentally and physically, but still have to maintain the professionalism of an artist. Now that this contract is completed, it has been a lesson learned, I will be more cautious in the future and carefully choose my jobs.

Lastly, please do not use these tactics and use me to get publicity, please!

=========================

In Jessica's statement, she exposes the 'seven deadly sins' of the Xiangzi's Story crew. (1) Take advantage of her fans (2) Forced to attend dinner parties (3) Used her name to rent filming location (4) Didn't pay her in time (5) Suffer from neglect (6) Lies (7) Disturbs her family.

The other day, Jessica came back from to HK from Shanghai and accepted [Oriental Daily] interview, she sighed: "In the last two months, I didn't even get the basic respect. There were many worthless dinner parties that I declined to go to. The crew also contacted my fans in private to visit the set. Later, my fans said they were forced to hold up signboards with other people's names, they were so helpless!"

When speaking of the constant dinner parties, Jessica criticized the crew had unreasonable demands, plus the OT (Over Time) situation was pretty serious. She said with anger: "I said I didn't want to OT, but they were unhappy, and did not care about my feelings at all. After all, they cannot force me to do things I don't want to!" She also said in Xiangzi's Story, she plays Wang's wife, but their collaboration was so troublesome: "I just wanted to simply shoot the series. This time, me getting accused, really does affect my reputation and my dignity, that's why I felt there was a need to clarify. I do not plan to take legal action, just think of it as a lesson learned!" When speaking of the other cast members from the series, she said she had a pleasant collaboration with them: "I am not worried that I may have affected others' confidence, I have no regrets!"

Jessica was also angered by how someone went to disturb her family: "One time my mom came to visit me in Shanghai. Coincidentally I had stopped working, so my mom went with the female boss to the bank and transferred the money, but the boss asked my mom for her phone number when I was not around, and since my mom was unaware, she gave it to her. Then unexpectedly because I didn't go to the end-of-filming celebration the next day, she kept calling my mom. When I asked why she kept bothering my mom, she had the guts to tell me that my mom just called her. The lies are truly endless!"

Also, Wang and his wife and the investor for the Xiangzi's Story series (Miss Li) arrived in HK yesterday. They heard about Jessica's statement through the reporters, Miss Li sighed: "I feel really hurt, there is a huge misunderstanding in between. I seldomly contact Jessica, but I hope to sit down and peacefully chat with her." She suspects someone is causing trouble in between.

Raymond Lam supports CHOK's outstanding lyrics and arrangement

Raymond Lam won the 'Gold Song Gold Award' for CHOK, which have led to a lot of Netizens displeased. Even Moses Chan and Wong He expressed they haven't heard of the song. Sandy Lam expressed she never heard Raymond's songs before.

Yesterday Raymond attended an event and expressed his opinion: "Artists are very passive, each company has their own mechanism. Each year, I carry a joyous mood to the award ceremonies, but the news are unpredictable. After all as an artist, it's best to just do my own part. CHOK is not an avenue song, but to me it is a new try, new style and I'm surprised that it got an award. However, for a fast song it is indeed outstanding. The melody, arrangement, lyrics and the whole team matches quite well. (Is your next aim to get the 'Male Singer Award'?) Haha! In 50 years!" It was said CHOK cannot compare to the gold songs from the past, Raymond felt CHOK really isn't a main stream song, the song name originated from Hong Kong, he just hopes everyone will give it a sympathetic response.

Raymond generously accepts opinions from the public and does not feel he's being hurt: "Artists do not care about personal opinion, the work done is for everyone to enjoy." Asked if TVB feels the more love they give him, the more its hurting him? Raymond said: "It has never been like that. Sandy Lam haven't heard my songs before? They are all my seniors, the people in the same industry will understand the rules."
