Producer Lee Tim Shing angered by TVB's cold treatment due to upcoming retirement

Even TVB series 'golden' producer Lee Tim Shing doesn't have face given! Tim Gor plans to retire next year, so TVB immediately 'operated' his production Bottled Passion. Currently the series is winning the public praises, but losing the ratings. Even 64 year old Tim Gor is on fire, and angrily explodes on TVB.

TVB got a new boss, the internal disorder is happening one after another and even the old timers with TV rating guaranteed had no face given! Golden producer Tim Gor invited Niki Chow last year to collaborate with Raymond Wong for the first time in TV series Bottled Passion. During the sales presentation in the beginning of the year, the series was scheduled to broadcast in October, which is the best time to broadcast, but unfortunately because of the 'politics', the date was pushed back into the ashes during the Christmas holidays. Liza Wang's Super Snoops replaced the series in the October broadcast.

Because the story of Bottled Passion is traditional enough, it matches the taste of the See Lai (housewives). Entering the finale week, TVB plans to air When Heaven Burn's finale on New Years Day (Sunday) and Bottled Passion will air on Monday (Jan 2nd). It was said because Tim Gor decided to retire next year, and someone wanted to seize the opportunity to give him the cold treatment. The producer that made the high rated series Rosy Business won't be an exception, and pushes Bottled Passion into the ashes!

[Oriental Daily] contacted Tim Gor about the issue, when speaking of his 'blood, sweat and tears' production being pushed into the ashes, the Tim Gor who has been calm all along was on fire, he blows on TVB: "Someone must be 'eating PK'! My other series A Fistful of Stances was treated the same way, is someone behind this, I really don't know! I can't be upset too much, since I'm not the first one. I can't say if the series is in the ashes or not!" Tim Gor continued: "I can't lie, the ratings are really just average. The most miserable is the public praises are good, the scriptwriter is really unhappy! Aiya! During the holidays, there are about 60-70k residents leaving Hong Kong for vacations. If the series broadcast at a better time, the ratings will be 2 points higher at least! But I'm already used to this!"

When mentioning how Tim Gor stomped up to the broadcast department to question why Bottled Passion was taken out, he said: "I admit Bottled Passion isn't a big production, only Niki and Raymond are the big players. However, Niki really improved fast and Raymond matches the role. It was expected Joel Chan would perform well. I really put in a lot of effort into creating this story. The whole situation wasn't calculated, when the series was scheduled to broadcast in October, we thought it was confirmed. Unexpectedly it was taken out on short notice and [TVB] explained that there was some other reason for this. They even apologized to me."

Lead actress of Bottled Passion, Niki Chow, was seen shopping in Central with a friend. When asked about her series turning into ashes, 'Tsui Sum' Niki said: "It's hard to control TVB's arrangements. I'm just happy there is good public response! I'm not sure how the ratings are calculated." When speaking of Johnson Lee disguising himself in her role 'Tsui Sum' with a mustache, Niki laughed: "He's a man, of course he has facial hair. He's very funny though, I don't mind!"

Fans faint over Raymond Wong's topless scene

On December 26th it was a public holiday, so of course the TV ratings was affected. Bottled Passion lead actor Raymond Wong had a scene in the episode broadcast that night where he goes topless and revealed his muscles. The scene became a heated topic of discussion online, a large group of fan girls exclaimed that Raymond's chest made them faint: "Raymond Wong really looks like Leslie Cheung, very handsome and cries with such emotions!" There are also Netizens praising the series is so good and that they must watch every night.
